  1. Yeah, they told me i should get it either Friday or early next week. The B3 sits nicely at the end of my pedalboard, I like it how you have 3 stomp switch to engage the effect. Turning the knobs on the effect channel within the patch saves the setting straight away which is something I like. As long as I set the patch right at home and adjust effect setting in band practice is not a problem.
  2. Yeah man. I actually like the B3. It does everything I want in a good ways. 3 separate stomp is handy for me.
  3. To be fair i can't find any info with this problem online. No info means good news. Only 1 guy in talkbass had a similar problem. I guess i got a bad one out of the million B3. PMT refund my money and got a new b3 on order for me.
  4. maybe about compressor goes first or last ......
  5. I usually run my compressor after the tuner and I had problem with my wah pedal. Recently sold bunch of pedals and bought a Zoom B3 and I run the B3 last on the chain because of the DI and headphone output. With compressor engage on the B3 my wah pedal sounded good and even.
  6. I use a PJ bass mainly. The J pickup doesn't add much depend on your purpose of use. Don't expect the tone will be jazz type with thunder p bass low ..... In fact by adding the J pickup on the bridge the overall tone scoop abit in my ears. I usually solo the pickup and dial in the J pickup when I want a scoop tone or slap stuff. It also gives me the option to solo the J for hat bridge snappy tone.
  7. I use compression to stop changing the volume too much, i.e going from finger style to slap. or when I hit the string too hard in live situation the volume won't change too much. It helps my wah pedal too lol.
  8. I think i will refund and buy a new B3. I bought it in PMT.
  9. I think my Zoom B3 is broken. Only had it for 3 days ......... I've bought it in a local shop in Manchester. The pedal is used but is in excellent condition. For some reason the middle LCD gone black all for a sudden. The effect in the middle still works but you just can't see what is display. It got power to the LCD but just show black blocks. Firmware is all up to date. I really like the pedal and I start concerning about zoom build quality. I've bought a B2.1U before this one and is broken, now the zoom B3 is broken too.
  10. The GE-7B is the older made in japan version. Altho is still 7 band but different freq then the new one. I much prefer. Is just the tuner is on the board i might as well use it. One less thing to mess around in live situation. If i go small i just use the B3 on its own. I really love the b3. Use to own a b2 but hated it.
  11. hahahaha, I just love to turn up to a gig with a small amp and just DI out lol. No more big cabs because it really put me off, specially with my smaller polo lol.
  12. For sale is my Trace Elliot 1153 (1x15) bass cabinet in excellent condition. 13. It was better then I expected. I originally bought it for home practice and maybe band practice in a living room etc. I must say it doesn't look too good but it does everything I wanted for a small amp. Build quality is ok but i think the ibanez is better. Then again I've own small ampeg combo before and their build quality is nit fantastic either. The combo is not gonna blow bass out front on it's own but it does well as stage monitor while the PA took care of business out front. For £160 is not bad to be honest.
  14. Did a gig last Friday night in a hotel where the venue is pretty big. I would say medium size. I know my bass will be DI to the PA so instead of just relying on the monitor for the bass I took my Redsub BE100 with me. The combo is 100watt going into a 10inch speaker. I had it tilted up and send the lineout of the amp to the PA. The small amp hold well onstage for monitor and the PA took care of the business. It really convince me the idea to sell all my amp stuff and go for the Markbass CMD112 instead now.
  15. I've bought a B3 at the end for cheap. It was used but from a respective store in manchester. I'm running my pedals like this at the moment: Boss pedal tuner --> Boss GE-7B --> Jim Dunlop Bass crybaby --> Zoom B3 I mainly use the B3 for chorus, delay, reverb and compressor. This setup works well at the moment because I can practice with headphone using my pedalboard and also DI out as well. Problem at the moment is my 1Spot Visual Sound power supply causing some hum noise on my B3. A seperate power supply is ok with the B3. Need to look for some better psu for the pedal board.
  16. Just buy a multieffect pedal and use that instead ....... I'm sure some pedal out their will sound better then the tone print ......
  17. Went to PMT manchester and ask for the zoom b3. No stock but they got a PX B3 in another store that can sell me for 79 pounds. No orignal psu but they will give me one. I quickly paid for it lol.
  18. Thats what I was thinking to behonest. I still got my boss pedal tuner, 7 band EQ and bass crybaby that I'm not planning to depart. The B3 would sit nicely at the end of the chain for some effect and DI. Not to mention I can always practice with my pedalboard with the B3. Going to check out a local store to see do they sell them first, if they don't I will probably buy online.
  19. Anyone have use this unit on their bass? I'm looking for a unit that does it all but I know the effect is not perfect. Mainly to use compressor, chorus, reverb and delay. And of course DI out to the PA. Been offer one of these but not sure ths or the Boss GT6B to behonest. I've read some reliability issue with this unit which puts me off. The guy said it got a bit of cosmetic scruff and dink on the corner but fully working and the unit haven't been gigged.

  21. I was thinking about that, but a built in one means less thing to carry. Was thinking about the Zoom B3 or the Line 6 x3 pod live (used).
  22. I'm downsizing pretty much all my pedals except the wah and my EQ pedal. Going back to multi effect unit for that does it all but not perfect. After looking into the common budget multi unit most of them don't have a DI out. Does the lineout works well with the PA?
  23. Contacted the seller and hi willing to refund the money back to me. Should of got the B3 instead.
