1. Several conversations ongoing regarding this and I think I've replied to everyone. Give me a nudge if I've missed anything. To the top for now.
 2. Apologies. Previous thread started in the Bass Guitar forum. Please bin this. Main thread here.
 3. Some quite frankly stunning looking basses in here. I really didn't see anything quite like this on the horizon. That 30th Anniversary Stingray 5 is just stunning. 4.
Would look great with my pink sparkle 😉 Chris fancied that at one point but it's a keeper. Always fancied the blue though ( just sold a black one ) PM sent
....and replied to.
 5. Ah, The Boots. I've had them for many many years and they only come out on special request. They are the original stitched DM's that you used to be able to get before they started churning out all this spray on rubbish. Purchased in the DM shop in Carnaby Street way back when. No, The Boots are not included. Sorry.
 6.
...and you can do it this way with no gadgets. http://www.youtube.c...A&v=YMAdLLVuR-c There's loads of ways :-)
This way worked a treat with no downloading of programs required. 19 videos now on my laptop. Thanks wateroftyne.
 7.
...and you can do it this way with no gadgets. Now THAT looks like something I'm capable of! Thank you.
 8.
i noticed that. AVC will do all of them
Are you running Google chrome by any chance. I downloaded AVC and it crashes every time I paste the URL into it. It does seem to suggest it likes Chrome or Firefox.
 9.
I use Any video Converter. I've tried the Chrome extension and it didn't work for me. With AVC, which is free http://www.any-video...for_video_free/ you just get the video URL, by right clicking when the video is showing, and paste that URL in AVC and off you go. It actually works with virtually any website, including youTube.
Cracking. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
 10.
It's just worked fine for me - I downloaded some random cat video no problem. Oh. by the way, whoever uploaded them will be able to download them in FB anyway if they click 'options' at the bottom. No gadgets required.
There are actually clips from three different sources and I wanted to do them all. Thanks for the tips.
 11.
I tried and gave up.
Glad I'm not the only one. Most of the links took me to some right dodgy looking websites.
 12.
A minute's research on Google pointed me to this Chrome extension which appears to work a treat..?
Mmm. That's the one I didn't try as last time I installed Google Chrome things went a bit south. If there are no other suggestions I might give it a go. Thanks.
 13. Nothing dodgy going on here I can assure you. A good friend took a few videos of our band last Friday and uploaded them to Facebook, which was great. I asked for them to be e-mailed to me so that I could stitch a few of them for our website. It seems that I wasn't quick enough and they have now been deleted from the device they were shot on. I've Googled it and if you believe what you read then it's definitely doable. So I tried my best and failed miserably. Does anyone have a tried and trusted method, preferably at little or zero cost for doing this?
 14.
This is so gorgeous. I'm £2000 short... DAMN
Yes, sorry Andy. I know you would have been up for it had funds allowed.
 15. For sale within the UK only. No trades. I hope Chris doesn't mind me using his original post, but it's this bass and is for sale for the same price which I paid for it earlier this year. The bass is in the same condition as it was then and comes with a non-original hard case. The serial number puts it as a 2006 model from when they were still actually a "Flea Bass" rather than a "Funk Unlimited". It has an Aguilar OBP-1 pre-amp with bass and treble boost and a Hipshot bridge. It does exactly what you would expect it to. Rock solid neck, monster pre-amp, huge sound and looks to kill. It has a couple of tiny blemishes on the rear of the body and neck as Chris mentioned, but these are small, a bugger to photograph and are to my mind insignificant. I wish I could tell you how much it weighs, but my scales broke earlier this year and the new digital ones won't register anything below 11lbs, so at least we know it's not that heavy! Located in South Essex. Tea and biscuits gratis. Any trial welcome.
 16. I bought this strap for a particularly heavy bass which I no longer own. It did an excellent job of spreading the load across the shoulders. It's never had strap locks on it, so the strap eyes are fine and it's in excellent condition, almost as new in fact. I believe it was in the region of £70 and I should probably list it higher, but I would have to pay to list it and....well you know the score. Feel free to collect in person from South Essex or I will post at cost. P.S. I can't make my mind up if it's one of their four inch straps which is a bit on the wide side or a four and half inch which is a bit narrower than it should be. It's bang on four and a quarter at it's widest point.
 17. Browsing around the web I happened across this vintage Fender Jazz owned by Dave Markee which is up for sale at Vintage & Rare. It doesn't have a price on it, but that's besides the point. Posted on the sale page are four videos, presumably shot at V&R, of Dave talking about the history of his bass. There's some comedy gold in there, most of it unintentional. Example: Criticising Joan Armatrading's bass player for not playing one of his songs correctly, then cocking it up himself when he tries to play it. I could go on, but it's easier if you just watch them. P.S. It's a re-fin with changed pick-up's and electronics anyway.
 18. I should add that we are now a six piece having recruited a fantastic multi-instrumentalist for guitar, sax and vocal duties. In this video there are in fact seven including the wonderful Natalie duetting on Under Pressure. Natalie will be at Chinnery's debuting an additional five new songs for her. http://youtu.be/PDyfXjPyPZM
 19. Tickets are available now from me, Chinnery's or SeeTickets. Here is a video of a few songs from our visit to Club Riga, Southend recorded a year ago today! http://youtu.be/gZvc1AprT_0
 20. For those of you that don't know, the reason the crowd are going mental immediately after Jonathan King finishes waffling and during the extended bass drum intro to Back In N.Y.C. was that Peter Gabriel was "brought back from the dead" by being carried on a stage in a coffin which he then leapt out of and went straight into the song. Still gives me goosebumps listening to it.
 21.
The band have already plundered their archives for various boxed sets. I think the Lyceum shows from 1980 had 'enhanced' audio - good sound recordings spliced into them. Maybe when Mike needs another polo pony or Phil has to settle another divorce we'll see the barrel scraped a bit more 😋
Yes, your probably right. I still have my original VHS that I recorded the Lyceum show on when it was broadcast on The Old Grey Whistle Test. Have you seen the amalgam of both nights. I really enjoyed that.
