  1. I watch videos on FB and You Tube and do wonder sometimes whether I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole into an alternate universe. This one popped up today. They seem to be very popular in front of the Hellfest audience, but I have to say, I’ve never heard of them. With songs like ‘I Like to Vomit’, ‘Pipi vs Caca and a particular highlight ‘Je Collectionne de Canards’ (which features a man in a gold lame suit wearing a duck mask wandering around the stage with his trousers round his ankles @41m 32s) what’s not to like? 🤫 Enjoy.
  2. I went right to the very back of the pile today and dug out my second ever bass which hasn't been out of it's case for quite a while. After putting fresh batteries in it, I found that there are clearly some issues with the electronics. Any volume is intermittent at best and there is no volume at all when the pick up selector is in the 'up' position. I'm not even entirely sure what the three switches below the pots actually do now, it's such a long time since I've used it. It's such a shame as it had a great sound when it was working and the neck profile is like putting on an old pair of slippers. I'm wondering what the options are to get it up and running again. Obviously it all depends on where the issues lie, but I'm guessing if it's electronics on the board, it's not going to be an easy fix. I'm not very experienced in repairing/diagnosing electronic faults. Can anyone give me a steer towards getting the old girl playable?
  3. Tickets available from link below. https://martinwoodevents.co.uk/leigh-rock-david-bowie-tribute-6th-july-2019/
  4. The venue doesn’t have staff in there on Sunday until 11.30, so we had to remove everything and relocate it to the Premier Inn before we could even think about going out for a drink. By the time we had done that it was 11.45pm and the chances of finding anywhere open was slim. We went out for a walk and asked someone who pointed out The Clothier’s Arms that was open until 1am. A few drinks were had there followed by a most excellent chicken kebab at Max’s Balti House. Night night.
  5. Wow! The good people of Yeadon sure know how to party.
  6. We’re in. Pre-gig beer in the bar opposite.
  7. I thought that was an odd name for a village 😂 I shall report back on Sunday.
  8. Yes, well we’re staying at the Premier Inn at the airport, so if all else fails 😂
  9. I'm not playing that one. It will cause a lot of coffee to be spat over keyboards 😂
  10. I'm gigging in Yeadon (near Leeds) on Saturday and due to the distance involved for us, it's an overnight. These theatre gigs usually wrap up quite early and was just wondering if Yeadon is a one horse town or is there anywhere one could imbibe alcoholic beverages until the wee small hours?
  11. I probably should have quoted the date (16/6/19). The assumption was The Mac are at Wembley at the moment.
  12. A thousand apologies and I stand corrected @Rich. I shall await Skank’s reply with anticipation. (you can see how that looked though 😂)
  13. No arguing there, but it doesn’t explain the queue of people who were eager to get selfies with him.
  14. It’s a good shout for sure, but I really don’t think it’s him.
  15. ....and it hasn’t escaped my attention that you’ve tagged @skankdelvar in to come up with some convoluted and entirely fictitious backstory to a name you have invented 😂😂😂😂. I have no doubt it will be worth the read though 👍
  16. Ha ha. Damn. I saw there were two replies to the thread and thought someone had cracked it. Lots of people were asking to have their photo taken with him apparently.
  17. Mmm. I can’t help thinking I’ve seen him somewhere before, but I’m not sure it’s Tim.
  18. Photo’s were taken at the Fleetwood Mac show at Wembley by the way.
