  1. Thanks, I just need sight of it of the dots. Four songs to learn on the hurry up and not much time to sit writing them out as I normally would.
  2. Yes, the top solution on Google was indeed GP, but that looked like a sign up/free trial etc.
  3. Anyone use anything specific to get these open? I've grabbed a tab and downloaded it, but my laptop won't open it. Googling how to do it reveals many possible solutions. I'm after a point in the direction of something reliable, free and that won't attract any unwanted crap afterwards. Advice gratefully received.
  4. He is nearly 60 though. Carrying a few extra pounds, but I can't knock anyone for that myself 😂
  5. Yes, very much so. I might have missed something, but after Thompson left and Gabriel's joined, did the band attempt anything live with just RS on guitar duties? He made a comment that he missed having a wing man (guitarist) which tends to suggest they did. If so, how did that turn out?
  6. Yes, looks like a great set. Quality original album and some great bonus material.
  7. Yes, I think I saw that listed on You Tube. That might be tonight's entertainment sorted. Thanks 👍
  8. Just spotted the 3 Disc Deluxe version of Disintegration on Google Play, so that's going to be my first purchase 👍
  9. I'm glad you said that. I kept looking at the strings on his guitar and thought they looked aa bit on the chubby side. That would explain it.
  10. ....and Gabrels is playing a sexy looking Reverend amongst many others. You wouldn't want to be his guitar tech!
  11. Quite. As a drummer from way back used to be fond of saying - KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid
  12. Yes, he swaps between a black one and a white one on the Lollapalooza show and they look and sound great. I could never play a bass that low though. It even look a little uncomfortable for him in a couple of places. What a great gig to have though. Not hideously complicated, but a lot of power play.
  13. Ah yes, XTC. Must have been going through that about the same time as you. Bought their compilation for my wife and got hooked myself. Great band. Starz, now there's a name I haven't heard for a while! Love Aerosmith too, but always have since I first heard Sweet Emotion. The Toxic Twin Towers Ball was a great gig. Last one at the old Wembley Stadium as I recall?
  14. I would love to start a gig with something as laid back as Plainsong. It's just lovely. Perfect festival fare that one.
  15. Did make me laugh. When the come back on for the encore, Robert makes a comment about how much time they've been told they have left to the second and then sings the theme to Countdown....like Lollapalooza will know what that is
  16. Yep. The track list is in the header.... 1. Plainsong 00:01:03 2. Picture of you 00:05:44 3. Lullaby 00:12:53 4. High 00:17:33 5. The end of the world 00:21:20 6. Lovesong 00:24:54 7. In between days 00:28:35 8. Just like heaven 00:31:36 9. From the edge of the deep green sea 00:35:35 10. The walk 00:43:16 11. Mint car 00:46:48 12. Friday I'm in love 00:50:33 13. Doing the unstruck 00:54:18 14. Trust 00:58:28 15. Want 01:03:35 16. Fascination street 01:08:44 17. The hungry ghost 01:13:38 18. Wrong number 01:18:30 19. One hundred years 01:24:56 20. Disintegration 01:31:34 Encore 21. The lovecats 01:42:01 22. The caterpillar 01:45:35 23. Close to me 01:49:29 24. Let's go to bed 01:53:05 25. Why can't I be you? 01:56:34 26. Boys don' cry 01:59:55
  17. Ha ha. Wish is the only CD album I have. I remember picking that up because I heard Friday I'm In Love and thought that was good, but the whole album is so much better. That makes me feel better that I missed them at their second best in 2016 though. Thanks.
  18. I'm just watching the Lollapalooza gig from 2013 on You Tube. Bloody marvellous stuff. Love Gabrels guitar work on Wrong Number. I watched 2 hour documentary The Cure Play Out last night. Fascinating stuff.
  19. The Cure kind of passed me by at a time when I should have been probably paying more attention. I just wasn't into their thing at the time I guess. I spent most of my time listening to Alice Cooper, Kiss, Genesis, Rush etc But now I have time on my hands, as is often the case, I get hooked on an artist I missed and voraciously devour everything I can find by them. I was a bit gutted to find that not only have they not done much live stuff this year, that they also did quite a large tour in 2016 and there is nothing planned for 2018 apart from Hyde Park which will be there only European date. At 2018 is their 40th Anniversary year. That can't be right can it? I'm starting on amassing my The Cure collection. What do I have to look forward to?
  20. I don't need to lie down. I've only just got up.
  21. Oh dear. There is no hope for you. The only way they'll stop doing it is if people stop clicking on them. The YYZ one had something like 140k views! Beggars belief.
  22. Talentless? Well, perhaps he's right about something then.
  23. I don't know why it keeps popping up on my You Tube feed as I haven't mistakenly clicked on one for a long time, but I noticed a 'reaction video' for the Rush song YYZ keeps appearing. I presume the sole purpose of this type of video is to make money from the amount of views as I can't think of a reason for them being there otherwise. It's not like any of them have any formalised critique of what they are being 'exposed' to as I presume the whole point of them is to capture exactly that moment. I hope they pay well as it seems a completely pointless exercise to me. Or am I missing something?
