  1. I probably should have quoted the date (16/6/19). The assumption was The Mac are at Wembley at the moment.
  2. A thousand apologies and I stand corrected @Rich. I shall await Skank’s reply with anticipation. (you can see how that looked though 😂)
  3. No arguing there, but it doesn’t explain the queue of people who were eager to get selfies with him.
  4. It’s a good shout for sure, but I really don’t think it’s him.
  5. ....and it hasn’t escaped my attention that you’ve tagged @skankdelvar in to come up with some convoluted and entirely fictitious backstory to a name you have invented 😂😂😂😂. I have no doubt it will be worth the read though 👍
  6. Ha ha. Damn. I saw there were two replies to the thread and thought someone had cracked it. Lots of people were asking to have their photo taken with him apparently.
  7. Mmm. I can’t help thinking I’ve seen him somewhere before, but I’m not sure it’s Tim.
  8. Photo’s were taken at the Fleetwood Mac show at Wembley by the way.
  9. Here are the rules as laid down by @skankdelvar: ....the BassChat approved method of generating one's stage name is: (A seaside resort visited in one's childhood) + (The name of the last establishment where you bought a hot beverage whether as a standalone or as the culmination of a tasty meal) Ergo, I am known to my public as Torremolinos Starbucks. P.S. Please ignore the first couple of pages of waffle about trying to identify the guy at a Fleetwood Mac gig. It hardly seems important now. In fact, I don't think it ever was 😂 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nothing sinister, just asking for a curious friend. Who is the chap with the blue jacket and VIP laminate in front of the stage facing to his left?
  10. I think this was the first time I gigged my Fender Flea '61 J....
  11. Here are some clips from previous performances....
  12. The annual charity event that is The Last Resort returns to The Mill, Rayleigh, Essex this November. (The Last Resort is actually an umbrella name for musicians from various Essex bands who are dedicated to this charitable cause) We are once again raising money for The Lords Taverner's who do some fantastic work supporting disabled and disadvantaged children. Our last show raised nearly £3,000 which was used to purchase sports wheelchairs for the Harlow Hurricanes. This event takes a phenomenal amount of time and effort to arrange and rehearse and is always well attended. This years theme is Tribute Bands. Tickets are available here.
  13. To be honest, anything would have been better than the one that was used 🙄. By far, and by some considerable margin, the worst offering as far as I'm concerned. SS said it was written in one session - 10 minutes probably and it sounds like it.
  14. I’ve never really thought of it that way and now you’ve suggested it, trying to work it out makes my head hurt 😂. Given that Roger Moore is not my favourite Bond and he had some cracking themes throughout his tenure, I’m inclined not to go with it. It’s all very subjective though isn’t it and just a bit of fun really, much like the films themselves.
  15. Furthermore, I notice that the version on the 'Best of Bond - 50 Years' is over a minute shorter than the version on the 30th Anniversary Edition. How the hell have they managed to cut over a minute out of such a great tune?
  16. That brass fanfare! One of the best hooks of them all IMHO.
  17. I had the opportunity to cover Diamonds Are Forever a few years ago with the kind of lead vocal and band that could definitely do it justice and it was a wonderful experience. Ditto your thoughts on You Only Live Twice. That intro gets me every time.
