    Not much to go on I'm afraid but.... I had this tune saved in my liked video's on You Tube and it's now been either removed or deleted and I can't remember what it was called or who it was by. It was a drum and bass affair, possibly from the 90's and there wasn't a video to go with it as such, but I do remember the thumbnail for it was a large black crucifix pictured flat, but an at angle. All the dark and moody and possibly could be something to do with the artwork of the song/album? When I found that it had gone I had a feeling the word 'testament' was either in the title or name of the artist, which kind of fits with the crucifix, but I've not been able to identify it through searching. Testament brings up loads of metal stuff which it definitely isn't. This track has a heavy synth bass riff which I couldn't get out of my head, which is why I saved it in the first place.

    Are there many manufacturers that continue to use a three bolt system on basses? Atelier Z do obviously.

    Which is essentially what the Yamaha Billy Sheehan model does I guess.

    All read with interest. I had actually forgotten about the micro-tilt thing. If three bolts are perfectly adequate, does this make the likes of Yamaha's Billy Sheehan bass (which has bolts angled into the neck to draw it into the body) and the arrangement of bolts on my Ritter, somewhat unnecessary?

    So, there’s a few basses I’ve GASSED over recently that I’ve justified swerving away from them on the basis that they have 3 bolt necks. I’m no expert, and no disrespect to anyone that owns one, but if you had a choice of building a new bass with either 3 or 4 bolts securing the neck, why wouldn’t you go with 4? My head says that 4 must be more stable right? Especially if you have to shim it? I accept I may be wrong, as I know sod all about making the buggers, but it just seems odd to me. Granted, back in the day, maybe the idea seemed sound, but they are still being made today. I give you an example....Atelier Z Jerry Barnes Signature. Wonderful guy, fantastic player, but 3 bolts for the four string and the five string has 4 bolts. So, if the justification for the extra bolt on the five for marginal extra heel width is stability, why not have four bolts on the four string as well? It strikes me that the 3 bolt on the four string has been done for purely ‘vintage aesthetics’, which if so, it just complete tosh. I’m more than happy to be shouted down in this. It might cost me a few quid, but hey, I get a NBD or three. Discuss.

    Thank you. I’m pleased there aren’t any glaring rookie errors. Audience wise, that’s a bit of a problem at the moment as apart from the close up’s, all the other camera’s were fixed. I think we are still missing video from at least one camera which wasn’t fixed and I’m hoping to get the video from that on Monday.

    As per my recent status update, I’ve had a steep learning curve with iMovie and syncing together video elements with sound files. It’s taken me a couple of hours a day over a few days, but I think it’s coming together nicely. There’s still a couple of tweaks I want to make, but any suggestions/critique would be welcome. Edit: Made a few changes, moved the title card to the beginning and put a new one at the end so they all have the same format as they roll out.

    This is a great little club gig in the middle of Chelmsford and we're playing a set featuring some songs we haven't done for a looooong time. Really looking forward to it. Come on down.

    They all are in my eyes. Guitar was the most difficult position to fill. Tony, Dave and I had been talking about reforming the band for some time, but the guitar position was always the stumbling block. I think it was at the 2014 Last Resort Show where were all watching Adam play. We thought he would be perfect, but probably not into it. We grabbed him the second he stepped off stage and his said yes without hesitation. Our concerns about the role were borne out in the end as even Adam said there were songs that he was struggling with due to multiple guitar parts. He thought Bedders would be a great fit for stunt guitar with the added benefit of sax and vocals. How right he was!

    I feel so privileged to be playing with these guys. They really do put their heart and soul into every performance. This is one of my favourite moments from this gig. Everyone is right on the money here. Strangely my IEM mix had deteriorated (I'm not entirely sure why) to the point that I really couldn't hear any sax at all. So, its been quite nice listening back through all the video to what our multi-talented guy stage right was doing - he also plays bass and drums as well as guitar, sax and being able to sing!

    Here is a video from Friday night at Millfield Theatre, Enfield. The whole gig was pro-recorded, but I also set up my Zoom Q4n at the side of the stage for it's maiden voyage. You Tube seems to compress the hell out of the image as the raw files look a whole lot better on my Mac. Next stop: The Bassment, Chelmsford on 25/5/18.

    Here are the encores from our show on Saturday. We had a few issues with feedback towards the end. Still not sure what the cause was, but it didn't seem to make any difference to the audience. Next stop Millfield Theatre, Enfield on 20/4/18.
