Was Fender Custom P Bass Now Withdrawn
the hand of john curley replied to thebeat's topic in Basses For Sale
With no wish to hijack this thread.... I think this is a really sad state of affairs. The Beat has bought what he thought was a genuine , very lovely looking, bass at what seemed a realistic price....shame the seller had no scrupals.... Dude, i really hope you manage to re-coup your investment on this...it is a stunning looking beast. All the best. -
Evening All, In a pathetic attempt to placate the wife ( before I go right ahead and get another bass !!!!) I am moving on my Ibanez BTB6. Purchased from Gaff, this is in superb condition. There is one tiny blemish to the upper body side that I will try to photograph for your delight, but please be assured this has been one very well looked after bass. I cannot really justify it hanging on its hook and try as I might, I just haven't really clicked with the whole EBR thang! Any trial ( and a cuppa) more than welcome if you can get yourself to Leicester.....looking at £275 for this although if required postage will be at cost on top of this. If you have any questions at all please PM me , Thanks Matt

Basschat folk are just good people.
the hand of john curley replied to phsycoandy's topic in General Discussion
I think this forum is the dogs danglies!!!! I have met loads of top people on here, bought a few great bits and pieces and thoroughly enjoy going through all the threads at stupid o'clock in the morning when the twins wake up!!! I know there have been one or two "issues" in the For sale threads, but that apart this really is the ONLY forum worth looking at! Big UP the Basschat Massive!!! -
concur 100% however...what they do is their thing and, as for all of us, we should endeavour to be ourselves creating our own thing or individuality which makes us 'unique' in our own style. Pat Torpey (Mr Big drummer) once said: "No matter how good or bad drummers can be, I always learned something from them. Whether this be a complex pattern or a simple beat." thought it was a good sentiment and have since used this outlook in my playing experience. andy
Agree 100% - It was incredible to watch, and whilst I fully appreciate that, as with anything else, opinion is always subjective. I found it completely mesmerising to see the talent the guy has...and by christ if I look that good at his age i'll be very happy! Ona seperate note, his drummer.....24, staight outta compton ( i'm sure theres a song there!!) and mind blowing....I have NEVER seen anything like it, give teh guy a few more years and he'll be untouchable. Anyroadup, Top night, came away truly humbled, but bloody well inspired!
QUOTE (ste_m3 @ Apr 24 2008, 06:37 PM) My only suggestion would be that if you think you can get mroe money on ebay for it, then thats exactly what you should do. Wheres the community spirit eh! we're basically beating inflation with this place! Yup.
Yup +1 ...I'm truly staggered to see this....I know without exception that the Jazz Re-Issue i got of a certain Mr Cougar would without doubt have gone for more on Evil Bay.....I think this is a bit poor really...
