Price drop - £155 includes UK postage Hi, I’m selling my Aguilar Octamizer version 2. Well looked after and very little use. £185 price includes UK Postage. Here’s a bit of info from Aguilar: AN ALL-ANALOG OCTAVE PEDAL THAT CREATES A WIDE RANGE OF MUSICAL SOUNDS AN OCTAVE BELOW YOUR BASS SIGNAL. Modeled with old school and new school needs in mind, the Octamizer features independent volume controls for both the Clean and Octave sounds. This makes dialing in the exact amount of each a cinch. The two discrete signal paths also have their own tone controls that were specifically designed to enhance and expand their musical possibilities. The CLEAN TONE control uses a full spectrum tilt EQ, allowing for the boosting of treble while cutting bass or boosting of bass while cutting treble. This unique circuit allows you to create a clean sound that creates an octave doubling effect or to blend the sounds together for a great thick, snarky synth tone. *Pedal powered by universal 9-volt power supply only. Not included. Proprietary detector circuit for superior tracking Continuously variable multipole low-pass filter for Octave sound Dual filter architecture Full spectrum tilt EQ for clean sound Pedal powered by universal 9-volt power supply only. Not included. Cheers! Michael

Price drop - £135 includes UK postage Hi, I’m selling my Darkglass B3K. Well looked after and sounds great. I’m just not using it anymore. £160 price includes UK Postage. Here’s some info from Darkglass: An intuitive format that contains brutality and clarity at the same time is what the B3K delivers. A defined and powerful overdrive, with a simple layout, it sets no boundaries or rules to unleashing the desired tone. Blend Mixes the clean input signal with the overdriven signal. The clean signal remains at unity gain while the volume of the overdriven signal is set by the Level knob, allowing for fine control of the blend ratio. Tone Controls the high frequency content of the sound. A variable low pass filter from 3kHz (ccw) to 8kHz (cw). Level Sets the volume of the overdriven signal. Drive Sets the amount of saturation in the overdriven signal. Grunt When engaged provides a massive low end boost to really thicken your sound. Mid Boost Gives a subtle 6dB boost from 300 Hz to 1kHz to help you cut through a bit more. Output Connect from the ¼” Output jack to the input of your amplifier or another effects pedal. Input Connect your instrument or output from your pedal board to the ¼” mono jack. 9V DC Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Dimensions Width: 75 mm / 3″ Length: 111 mm/ 4¼″ Height: 43 mm / 1¾″ Weight: 250 g / 0.55 lb Warning The Microtubes B3K has a current draw of 20mA. Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Unregulated power supplies and/or higher voltages may result in suboptimal noise performance and even damage your unit, voiding the warranty. Thanks, Michael

Hi, I’m looking to sell my Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V in black with maple neck and abalone block inlays. The controls are volume, blend, active 3 band eq, passive tone control and an active/passive switch. It takes two 9V batteries. These basses are my favourites, but I bought this as a back up for my tour rig. I currently have three of them and this one just isn’t being used really. The bass weighs approximately 4.4kg I bought this bass from Basschat in January 2024. It’s been played and toured by its previous owner and has always been fantastic and reliable whilst I’ve had it. I’ve taken it on two tours last year as a back up and have played it on a handful of shows. It’s been looked after by myself and the previous owner. There’s a couple of dings and chips on the body which I’ve attempted to photograph. I can provide more photos. It comes with the original black pickguard (I’ve placed this over the top in some of the photos) and a dark tortoise shell one which I bought to replace it because I like how they look. It also comes with the original Fender strap locks. The original Fender case has a big crack in one of the corners so I’ve replaced it with this Stagg Hardcase. If you wanted the original you can have that instead though. I’m based in Birmingham but can provide postage and packaging at the buyers expense. Thanks for looking! Michael.

Our first outside gig this year. Good gig, why? We were tight. The dep drummer kept great time and actually learned most our set. Not a lot of technical stuff and crazy fills he just provided a great foundation for me to play in. I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. The opening act was really good. A solo singer song writer with good material. I was so confident I actually got into some on stage banter with Jenny. Not much for pics. Daryl

Agreed Daryl

80 is great as far as I'm concerned. Dave we've had high profile gigs cancelled due to poor ticket sales. That's no fun. Daryl
-
Man what a cool shot. Love the lighting and the crowd. I wish we could get a photo like this. Daryl

Although not a budget option, the Source Audio Nemesis is a great pedal for strange sounds, including reverse delay.

Played at Fryshuset Klubben Stockholm yesterday. 300-400 in the audience (Emergenza Stockholm and Swedish final). 14 bands, so hectic with only line checks. I brought my Warwick $$, Mesa Carbine M6 for the backline and a TKS W2128 cab. I plugged in my Quad Cortex, which was overkill, as our 20 min set didn’t really need any bass tone changes. I could have gone straight. Had a great time and had several people come up afterwards and say how much they liked the performance. Cherry on top was we were among the audience top four picks.

Did he play a fretless bass on budokan? -
That's great. Appreciative crowds make the night go fast. However, all gigs are not going to be great. You have to take the good with the bad. Daryl

Thinking about this, one of the things that’s keeping it fresh is recording technology. Thanks to our xr18, L20 and Tascam Models, we’re able to record and work on ideas all the time in our own small shed studios, rather than it be limited to occasional and expensive trips to big studios. We’re recording our gigs easier and getting a great live sound. This plus excellent microphones, all relatively cheap, keeps the creative juices flowing.

When talking to random people at a gig always have a good exit plan. Daryl

I like where your head is at. When I think of the guys I played with as a teen I think some lost interest, some had awful tragedies in their lives that hit them so hard they stopped playing. And some I think we're never really into it. Daryl
