tom1946 Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Hi all, I have just bought an MIJ Precision and am not impressed with its output, it seems quite low. I've checked the wiring and it seems ok so I'm going down the route of a new pickup. I'm very impressed with Wizard jazz pickups so I'm going for either a Thumper or the Area 51 stealth bomber. Anyone had experience of either? I do like a lot of bottom end but I also like to be able to lighten it off a bit too. alanbass1 Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Low output is not a bad thing as most amps have a pre amp gain to get the right input level to the eq/power section.
