dclaassen Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I have an even increased level of respect for my local Huntingdon shop after visiting Peach. I picked out a MIM jazz to try and the setup was unplayable. Action was super high…I don’t think anything had been done with the truss rod. I guess I don’t mind all the security measures, but, having been told all the basses had been set up, I was disappointed, and won’t be back. 5 minutes with the proper tools would have made all the difference. Not the case ever at Music Street. It’s a lot smaller shop but stocks good kit that is always ready to play. First impressions fail…. 2 Quote
Sean Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I've never liked Peach. It's my #2 least favourite retailer in the sector. Staff attitude stinks in my experience. Edited 1 hour ago by Sean Quote
Lozz196 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It’s a shame as I think their website is very good, with details such as the weight of each individual instrument of a certain brand/range. Their demos are pretty good too. Quote

pete.young Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I bought a guitar from Peach and it was a perfectly satisfactory experience. They provided me with 3 different instruments to try and a room away from electric guitar noise, and all 3 instruments were properly set up. Huntingdon is an extra 2 hours round trip and its hard to see what value they would have added. Quote
dclaassen Posted 35 minutes ago Author Posted 35 minutes ago They are local to me and that is a real plus. Glad you had a good experience…I won’t be back for anything serious Quote
BassAdder60 Posted 5 minutes ago Posted 5 minutes ago I purchased guitars and basses from Peach as I’m not far from Colchester. Their way of selling now ( appointment only visits ) was due to theft from the shop of high end PRS guitars where a couple walked in took them off the rack under their coats and walked out !! They are a decent bunch but their bass amp selection and stock is woeful. The store is like a western saloon and it’s a cool experience with personal attention and help. I think they are a decent store especially for guitars and guitar amps ( high end ) Quote
