41Hz Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 The club we are playing tonight wants the Big Ben bells at midnight. Any recommendations on the best way to do this. Maybe use a radio app and stream into the PA and hope the WiFi holds up? Quote
FretsOnFire Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 YouTube live stream audio of sky news perhaps? Quote
Maude Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 I don't know about streaming Big Ben but you've got to use them as the intro into AC/DCs Hells Bells. 👌 1 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 If they have a tv could that be connected to the PA, YouTube might get the adverts pop up unless you got premium 1 Quote

That would be cool, I’d do that if I was playing in my rock/metal band, but this one is more pop/soul. 1 Quote
theplumber Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Stuck a recording on a mini disc (remember them) and used that one year when I used to DJ. Tried playing it from a recording on a CD one year before and the CD was scratched! It stuck a wee bit! In fact I think there are still folk out there holding their glasses up waiting for the chimes... 1 Quote
Suburban Man Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Depends if you want the Bells in real GMT or streamed (slightly delayed) time. Real time best option is VHF Radio (yes I know its almost insanely old, but it doesn't have any discernible latency) If streamed then any broadcast feed - TV, Radio etc should do the trick and you can bluetooth it into your PA from your phone/laptop/tablet thing. It won't be accurate to actual GMT, but if its the only source of the Bells available, then most people won't notice 1 Quote
