Rosie C Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 My take on 'elf on the shelf'... I sold my Orange Crush 25B this week and replaced it with this Elf 110 combo 😁 13 9 Quote
bass_dinger Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 See how times, and Christmas traditions, have changed over the years. 50 years ago, an Orange amp in our stocking. Now, an Elf on the shelf. 5 Quote
paul_5 Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Well, nobody in their right mind would risk putting an Ampeg on anything!! 1 1 Quote
Jackroadkill Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Maybe this should become a BC tradition - everyone with an Elf gets a turn at putting it somewhere odd in December and posts a picture. Hang on, this is BC - visits to A+E would become commonplace, so maybe scratch that idea! 1 1 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted December 26, 2025 Posted December 26, 2025 That reminds me, I bought a TE Elf head a while ago to take to gigs as a backup to my Ashdown ABM, but I haven’t seen it for some time. I must try to remember where I put it. Younger me would never have believed that it would be possible to lose a gigable bass head. 3 Quote

SteveXFR Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 I played a sludge metal gig through an Elf once. My Orange wouldn't work when I got to the venue but the sound tech had an Elf so I used it. It was perfectly decent and survived 45 minutes at max volume which a lot of amps wouldn't do without overheating. Not bad for a compact head. 1 Quote
