Rayman Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) In case you didn’t know (many already do), I highly highly recommend putting “Thrust Bearings” onto your tuning screws….. it massively improves the tuning accuracy and ease of use. Many already know, but in case you don’t, it cost a couple of quid, and is a game changer. Edited 11 hours ago by Rayman 5 Quote
itu Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago True. I added similar bearings to my "Status", and the feel and accuracy became a lot better. 1 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago F4-10M Thrust Bearings on my B2 (4 for about £5 on the bay) Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I did this to both my Hohners and it makes tuning a breeze but at the cost of losing that long-term tuning stability. I have a plan to see if I can recess the knobs to restore the original appearance. Quote
tauzero Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Tuning stability shouldn't be affected once everything has properly bedded in - the tuning system is still an inclined helical ramp so the inclination (sorry) to slide remains the same, it's just the turning of the screw that is affected. Quote
