Mike1962 Posted yesterday at 20:48 Posted yesterday at 20:48 I want to fit a Fender Jaguar guitar mute on a P bass. Does anybody have experience of doing this? There was a detailed video a couple of years ago on YT but I can't find it now. Does anybody know how deep the hole for the spring and plunger need to be? Everything else I'd fine with. Quote

Reggaebass Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I’ve thought about doing that a few times to one of my not so expensive precisions, I’m assuming it’s the one on the Sean Hurley P bass , I’ve got the Bassmute on one which is really good but they are a bit pricey Quote

On a bass it's against the body, therefore the hole would be deeper. Last thing I want to do is either drill through or the spring dig a hole and go through. Quote
