  1. I was gutted when I heard the guys at EA had just shut up shop! I have an iAmp800, 2004 VL210 that I bought New Old Stock in 2013. Still in as new condition, but it's a bit heavy! 2 x Wizzy 12" M line. What are you using?

  3. Has anybody any experience of putting a stackpot control circuit in to replace the active circuit in a Jazz with N3 pups!

  5. Hi, I use an active Overwater and a passive Fender Jazz. I usually run through my Bassbone pre into either DAW or amp if it's a live gig. But I have very little experience on pedals. All I'm interested in at the moment is the Gamechanger Plus Pedal that I've ordered and some sort of volume pedal. But which one to get a smooth variance in volume? And the best way of wiring them up, as the Bassbone has an effects loop, but is using that the best?
  6. If I was still using round wounds then I'd use Kalium strings. They're expensive but great. http://kaliumstrings.com/calculator/
  7. La Bella. Not sure if they do 5 string but just put a 4 string set on my Hohner Jack fretless.
  8. Garry's strings are excellent. He can make pretty much what you want. I had a custom made set for an 8 string Overwater 38" scale made a few years ago.
  9. Does any one have any experience of modern Squiers? Especially the 5 string? I had an L series Jazz bass in the mid 80s. Just at the time they brought the Squier Jazz bass out. They were a pretty close copy. Down to the laminated finger board. I've tried the mordern standard Fenders and I'm not overly keen. I currently have a 1990 1960RI jazz with stacked nobs, which is great. Mike
  10. I was in Bass Centre trying NS instruments on Friday! What I found interesting was the omni (34") scale sounded more like a Double Bass than the full size! But for a double bass sound their short scale accoustic guitar with silcone strings is awesome!

The nocks appear to be real. The rest of it is in too good a condition to have been made into a relic. It is 1993 but it sounds and feels old. It's same age as my L series was when I got that!

As far as I know it's a 1960 reissue. The 1962 was the start of the 2 seperate volumes and a single tune pot wasn't it? I'm not sure what you mean by AV?
  15. I don't suppose you're interested in a trade?
  16. I have an overwater 8 string fretless 38" scale to trade if you are interested? pm me for pictures
