Good to see BBC devote a chunk of prime time Saturday viewing to the concert celebrating 100 years of the Opry. Can’t say they were my favourite acts from the US, but the house band were great. I wish the chosen UK acts had represented some of the British Country talent, may be the Shires or Remember Monday.

I caught the tail end of it, and listened to quite a bit on Thursday evening. Whilst I’m not a country aficionado I liked the majority of what I heard - and agree, the house band sounded very good.

Yes, very enjoyable! I was surprised Marcus Mumford was there. But more surprised at the ‘lack’ of any Fenderyness. I thought it would be a prime occasion to whip out something vintage but everyone went ‘super clone’!
