As per another thread, im getting a bit of interference from my Lektao WS90's under certain conditions, or rather they are causing interference.

So ive been looking at the two above. I know a lot of you use the Nux, but im not interested in that as I dont want to carry a case around. I prefer to just throw the thing in my gig bag. Im also not sue I like the auto off feature.

From the spec I understand the Fender has up to 8 hours from a 2 hour charge, and the Xvive 5. Either is longer than I'll really need, but the 8 will get me through a rehearsal and a few night home practice. The fender has a quoted lower latency than the others.

Any thoughts on either of those mentioned? im leaning towards the Fender, but its a bit more expensive.

From those two choices I'd go for the Fender simply because it's easier to tell which is the transmitter and which is the receiver.

That was my thinking, although i tend to put a bit of brightly coloured tape on the receiver anyway.

I bought the Fender, returned it after one rehearsal as it sapped a huge amount of low end from the sound. At home volume levels it sounded good, like some compression was added and just regulating the lows, but with the band it was like there was a filter removing anything from 120 and lower, took all of the oomph from the sound, and adding bass on the amp didn`t really solve it. Shame, it was a nice bit of kit and as BRX says easy to identify the transmitter/receiver - one of the reasons I bought it as middle aged eyesight needs all the help it can get.

Oh, that’s surprising. I know the Fender has a cable tone built in (like the boss system) but I’m sure that’s to reduce the top end.
What did you end up getting?

Hadn't come across the Xvive A58 - looks like new kit out this year with good reviews. I'm a fan of their U4 for IEM's. They do look quite bulky though!

Btw - if you don't want to take the Nux case to gigs, there's nothing's stopping you leaving it at home - it's just there for convenience and doubles up as a back up battery pack. It's also available in 5.8 GHz.

Cheers Bas.

Yeah, I didnt mean I thought I needed the case for it to work,  just that it's not a feature I care for. We have loads of USB C ports with us so if I need a top up im already covered. Id rather not pay for something go dont use.

I too am a fan of the Xvive, I still use my 2.4ghz system at home sometimes, although I do find I get quite a few dropouts. It's well made and compact. The A58's seem to be a good upgrade but I dont see much written about them.

I used the Nux 5.8 one for a while, but for the amount of gigs I do I moved it on and just went back to my trusty old BOSS WL20, any issues I`ll swap to a lead.

Xvive A58 Guitar Wireless System review | Guitar World

Nice little review on Guitar world - pretty positive

Ive read good reviews of both, that's why I can't decide. I like the idea of the Fender not having a light show on them, just one button and longer battery life (although its more than I'll ever need from one charge). Xvive is a tried and tested company I guess, and they are a bit cheaper.

Just seen a review that stated the Xvive lasted over 7 hours.  I’ll order those today.
