This is really rather lovely but we just haven't clicked. It's a Warwick Corvette Taranis 5 string in Burgundy Red. The swamp ash body has a sand blasted finish exposing the grain which may or may not be to your liking!

The neck is laminated from some beautiful ovangkol.

It's very manageable 8.8ilbs/3.99kg.

Usual Warwick build quality all round. Large pole piece MEC pickups, jazz at the neck and MM at the bridge. the bridge pickup has a series/single(neck coil)/parallel switch so combined with a pick up pan control and two band eq you get a lovely range of sounds. The Volume control has a push pull active/passive switch.

A few scars on the body and one small ding on the back of the neck by the octave on the low side.

There's a reasonable gig bag with it. I can't post so a meet or collect is best.

I travel about a fair bit with my work so we may be able to sort out something.

Great bass - had this exact one before you. They don't come with this switch stock, but it definitely opens the sounds up to make it even more versatile.

I've no idea what 'Taranis' means but apparently this was a bass designed for metal.  Not that I used it for that and it sounded great for the more mellow stuff

i've been using it for of late, very woody!

EDIT  Just found that Taranis is a Celtic god of thunder. The four string variant was tuned BEAD.

Is this setup normal tuning? I’d always had in my head that these are tuned down and run F#-B rather than B-G but I might be wrong or you may have set yours up differently?

The Taranis 4 is BEAD, the 5 is a normal 5 string tuning.

Ah awesome, that’ll be where I picked that up from then - I’ve never really looked into one before, but have been on the lookout for a Streamer Jazzman 5 which is the same pickup config on a different body shape, will definitely give this some consideration
