Not my favourite colour anyway and enough has been changed on it already that it won’t appeal to collectors. Thinking about this more, I would be looking at the arctic pearl finish Fender used for the 60th anniversary. The sparkle would definitely add to the ABBA glam. Edit, weirdly enough this came up on Andy Baxter site: https://www.andybaxterbass.com/collections/bass-guitars/products/1964-fender-jazz-bass-white-sparkle-refinish Edited 14 hours ago by Mrbigstuff 1 Quote

HeadlessBassist Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago You may lose a little of the richness and tone with a refinish. Personally, I'd leave it as is if you love the sound of it. But if you really do want to refinish it, I'd definitely go Nitro Cellulose. Quote
JPJ Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Nobody has yet mentioned that refinishes, even really well done refinishes, generally reduce the value of the instrument. That said, refinishing was very popular back in the 60’s & 70’s so a lot of ‘vintage’ instruments have had a refinish at some stage in their life. As you seem to be proposing a refinish simply to suit one gig, albeit your main gig, have you considered wrapping instead of paint? Easily reversible if your gig ever changes and no impact on long term value? 2 Quote
