I'm half considering selling my HX Stomp and so took some photos. On opening the box I came across the plug below. I'm wondering if it came with the HX Stomp or it ended up in the box by mistake when I stored it. Does anyone recognise it from their Stomp? It doesn't fit in the box with the still unused line6 plug adaptor (I used the one from my HX Effects as I'm using that with the power supply on my pedalboard). If I decide to sell I don't want to leave something out of the box but if it didn't come with the Stomp then it's likely from one of my other effects. Thanks for reading.

This is what Congress with a stomp.

I've got one of those adapter with a toothbrush that has a 'shaver plug'. The two pins go in the 'hole' and you can charge it from a normal three pin socket.

Thanks. It looks like they've upgraded the original plugs since I bought mine. Mine look like this

I remember those from an HD500 I had. Much more robust than the current ones. I’m on my second one already. It was replaced easily enough under warranty but a faff to sort.

I've got the same long thin one on my Stomp. The other one is an adaptor for European two-pin plug type power supplies which finishes up as a bulky awkward mess. The long thin one with the adaptor plate isn't ideal but it's far, far better than the two-pin adaptor.

I bought a stomp on here and was expecting the slim one that breaks easily and got sent one of them - I figured it was a mistake and ild been sent the wrong one - but maybe not! Massive ferrite bead ring thing

If you (or anyone) has one of the massive ferrite bead ring ones (😂) I would urge you to reinforce where the cable meets the power block - that’s the point of the red tape. I have another that is c18 months old and because ‘the bead thing’ moves about, especially when stored, the cable had stripped leaving bare wires!

I’m guessing the power supply was noisy enough that added to the stomps odd earthing they had to add the world’s largest ferrite bead.

The "adaptor" shown in the OP is to allow the use of an external PSU fitted with a Euro plug. Unless it offers some way of locking the PSU in place by more than just the plug pins it is technically against trading standards for it to have been supplied for use in the UK.

IMO external PSUs are the bane of the audio equipment world and ones that require adaptors doubly so.

Aye, I stuck with an actual Helix for a long time as you just need a kettle lead (like with ‘normal equipment’). Eventually lured by the size (saving) of the Stomp.
