FS / FT Spector NS-2 - USA 2012 £3250

I got this bass in a trade last year, here on BC. It’s an absolute stunner and plays / sounds fantastic.

The walnut burl looks fantastic and the abalone fret markers are the best I’ve seen.

The bass has been fully refinished by Toby Diggins as the previous finish had yellowed and there was a hazy section of finish previously on the neck. The bass is now in showroom condition. The only thing to note is a small blemish on the reverse of the neck which according to the guys at Jaydee, is just figuring in the maple.

I have also swapped the original hardware with lightweight black aluminium alternative. This brings the weight in at a back-friendly 3.85kg.

Full specs on the original spec sheet below. Note that this has the ‘thin neck’ or ‘Kramer shave’ option so the neck is not as chunky front to back as other US Spectors.

I’m selling primarily to raise some cash, but would consider a trade with cash in my direction with a pre-korg Euro Spector 4 string, perhaps with something special going on like an unusual finish (e.g Rachel Bolan model) but open to hear whatever you’ve got.

Bass includes original Spector hard case.

I’d much prefer trial + collection in Cardiff but happy to post at buyer cost and risk.

Wow!  I know from bitter experience that these don't work for me ergonomically, but a stunning bass.  Not that many around with the shallower neck.  Are these solid walnut wings - great to see an image of the back of the body?  Also, is it the standard 1.64 nut?

Not solid walnut burl but walnut rear-wings. And yes, standard 1.64 nut.
