The processes involved and machinery takes me back to my wood machining/bench joinery days where i was employed for 25 years in the manufacture of hardwood and softwood internal and external carved wood doors when they were all the rage. Now retired but i'm finding this very interesting indeed, that CNC Router looks the bees and the Planer Thicknesser as well as all the other kit all spot on . Kudos to all involved. I'll be buying a ticket Thank you Quote
Grainger guitars Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 Sadly the video files we have of this bass are too large to upload but here’s a link to our Facebook page where you can see it https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CTLc7Rn87/?mibextid=wwXIfr Here’s more pics of the finished bass 20 Quote

That looks amazing @Grainger guitars A truly fitting instrument given the reasons behind why it's being made. I'm sure Nick would have loved it. 1 Quote

We heard her voice for the first time today and the pairing of Aguilar Amplification HJ pickups and two band cut/boost preamp are sounding sweet! It feels bittersweet that Nicks vision has reached this point yet he won’t be able to see it or make it sing 😢 She’ll now be given some time to settle before setup and the last few jobs completed at which point we’ll tie down and announce the details of the charity raffle! 1 Quote
Blondy Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Thank you so much for posting the update. She looks beautiful, to see his name on the headstock made me 😢 but the positivity she will bring will be amazing! I found Nick's original drawing of her at his studio. He too was talented at DT at school although he was always too busy impersonating our teachers!! Kat 🩵 8 Quote

Matt P Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Normally green would be my last choice for an instrument but this bass is just perfect looking, such a great spec and look, i'll definitely be buying a ticket or two. just out of interest what strings are fitted? Matt 2 Quote
Al Nico Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Very impressive. Dripping in high quality. I like green although it's not a popular colour on the shelf. This is a really nice green. It has enough tones and contrast to bear the lively colour. Marvellous 2 Quote

Ally and I visited the Thomas Deacon Education trust to donate some instruments and equipment. It was exciting to start the NSFT! 🎸🙏💚 4 Quote
SICbass Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Thanks for that Blondy. A great initiative to see his instruments passed along and shared, as he did his talent. Quote
