Peavey Nashville 114e impedance? Help!

Recommended Posts

Advice needed on Peavey 115 BW

This is sort of related to another if my posts.

I picked up a Peavey Nashville 115e 1x15 cabinet for £30. I'd hoped to use it as an extension cabinet with my 2x12. I had no idea what it was before I collected it!

There's almost no information on this thing online. *maybe* it was made for pedal steel (hence the Nashville thing). Sounds decent enough with my small guitar head and 7 string.

Can anyone tell me what the impedance on the speaker is, or at least how to find out myself, please?

Thank you all. IMG_20240417_105603.thumb.jpg.6c8ee942b07eb3d1ae7b45bd539030a6.jpgIMG_20240417_105603.thumb.jpg.6c8ee942b07eb3d1ae7b45bd539030a6.jpgIMG_20240417_105603.thumb.jpg.6c8ee942b07eb3d1ae7b45bd539030a6.jpgIMG_20240417_105526.thumb.jpg.8d6548321f8b1bc053b30f9b4c17237c.jpgIMG_20240417_105426.thumb.jpg.2fb077943e1c2519f76fee462047a244.jpg

You can't...

But if you found the answer yourself maybe you should share it for the sake of other people who might have the same question in the future and find your thread through a search.

No idea about the impedance.

Need to remove the back and disconnect the speaker wired according to the guide I found. Not today, Satan.

It's a guitar speaker. The tweed version seems to be a pedal steel cab, but this is a straight guitar cab. This will be what it gets used for.

My first mistake was assuming BW= bass. Amateurish error.

Not so fast. Looks like some BWs had multiple uses. Check the model number if you can. Not sure if you could customise the cab to become a bass cab if the speaker was bass compatible, but there are those on here who could advise.

Theres a photo of the ID label (from the underside of the cab) in the OP.
