You don't see many of these...

 

Absolutely beautiful and near mint condition 40th anniversary P-bass. One of only 400 ever built and never reissued. Most incredible woods I've ever seen on a Fender, from the ebony on the fretboard to the Birdseye maple neck to the quilt maple top.

 

Lace sensor pickups and Kubicki preamp. All original and includes original tweed case, certificate and case candy. The word 'top' has been written on the top side of the case which is actually quite helpful in making sure it's stood up correctly.

 

Collection greatly preferred, I'm happy to travel within reasonable distance, but could post if necessary.

 

Sale preferred but could be tempted by trades/px of basses or guitars, definitely prefer vintage items though.

I used to own one of these about 15 years ago. All the kudos and value of a very rare and now vintage Fender Custom Shop model with the build quality of top-end Yamaha, who I’ve no doubt FCS were referencing in this model 👍

Lovely! Like @Beedster I had one of these about 15 years ago - really well made and great sounding basses. 

 

Sadly, I didn’t have the original case or COA.....

 

Now however, I have the Fender Tweed case and no bass from that period to put in it!!

 

Should have kept the bass!
