The machine heads were a set of 4x black/silver, 1x gold and 1x silver so not a theme as such. I've swapped out the odd gold for a silver and "matched" the scheme. I'm pretty sure it's something really simple stopping the bass making any noise. Mal will spot it in no time but will taunt me about it forever... I think that I may have plugged one or more of the points into the ports the wrong way round so no sound. I bet it's something silly like that.
