Love this bass!......  the aria fretless acoustic is a real gem!... designed to actually sound fat.. with a big body....

... I really like it.. My first proper bass was an Aria P bass copy.. & it was built better than the real thing to be honest ...So I was willing to give this a proper look....

really like it... & it has f holes!... It sounds great & it's not that expensive....

Any other love for the Aria FEBFLUFFEN

I’ve thought about one often, as you say they’re not expensive. However having a NS NXT EUB ( that really is too many initials, sorry) I wonder whether I would get any use from an FEB at all?

I played one in my local music shop a couple of times. It feels and sounds amazing, and surprisingly affordable. I just can't honestly justify the expense or the space it would take up in my wee house. If I had a bigger house, I wouldn't be able to hold back. Enjoy!

Lovely looking bass. 24 dot marker fretless. Maybe a bit ambitious 🤣

That area of 'the dusty end' doesn't get much of my attention, to be fair! 😆

I have just bought one of these beautiful bass guitars and I am VERY happy with it. My question to others who may own one, is have you tried flat wounds on it and if so, did it require a set up?

I replaced the original bronze strings yesterday with La bella flat wounds .039-.096 let it settle then played it for about 3 hours. I then put the old strings back on because, TBH, I prefer them. The strings do fit the nut slots but they must be lower tension, as it dropped my action, causing a fare amount of string buzz around the fingerboard, especially at the top end. I know this can be fixed with a little truss rod adjustment, but I didn't want to do this, because of my other gripe. The flat wound strings sound quite dead, probably more authentic for a double bass sound, but most annoying for me, I lost my mwah sound!!! I could not replicate it with the La Bella's but whether they are cheap or not, I like the sound of the strings the bass comes with. Maybe because I am primarily an acoustic guitarist and Bass is not my primary instrument (currently) or just personal taste but at least I tried it!

Yes I put La Bella flats on mine.. makes the sound really authentic... Didn't like those weird bronzed rounds at all.

I took some advice from someone on TalkBass and got a lighter gauge than I would normally use, so they fit in the nut grooves, which would've needed making wider otherwise..

(La Bella 760FX Deep Talkin Bass Guitar Strings - X/Light 39 - 96...)

sound is still fat and the strings feel right.. 😁😎

I have a guitar guy who sets up stuff for me (lazy!) but not much had to be done to it...

Looks great, what’s it like to play without a finger rest?

I've not found any problems without a finger rest... I like to pluck from different places to get different tones.. right up the neck end is quite upright sounding...
