Hi people

I’ve got an fender California series precision bass, the truss rod doesn’t seem to keep the neck straight, and it’s maxed out with a couple of washers on it as well, and now there’s a crack in the back of the neck, just wanted to know if it’s fixable??,is it a massive job to replace the truss rod,and does anybody have a rough cost, all the best

It is fixable, it is not going to be cheap if you pay someone to do it.   My guess would be that a (used) replacement neck might be cheaper.  If it is any consolation I stuffed my USA G&L L1505 neck with the truss rod cracking the fretboard  (not uncommon I am told).  Fixed to better than new by Jon Shuker.  You could ask @Andyjr1515 what his take is.
