When I was a teen, I got roped in by my old man to teach the kid of an acquaintance bass rudiments. That was the bass the kid had, and it was branded 'Shaftesbury'.

What's interesting (to me, anyway!) is that the near-identical Shaftesbury versions were Italian & made by Eko.
