Polish for nitro finished bass

Any recommendations? Looking for something to apply to a cracked and worn nitro finish.

My 62RI jazz had a nitro finish and I was recommended the fender custom shop polish when I bought it , it wasn’t cracked or worn though, I don’t know if that would make a difference?, 

It says it, Contains no silicones, resins, polymers, bonding agents or alcohol

Compatible with all finishes, including nitrocellulose

Thanks! Yeah I think the key is to avoid silicone. Re the cracks, just wondered if getting polish in the cracks might not be best for the underlying wood but guess if it’s the right polish it won’t be absorbed as such.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax on my nitro guitars. Only apply one a year, and needs only a quick buff every few weeks (to take off any sweat marks or grime) brings back the shine.

All the ones I’m reading up on say not to use on cracked finishes

Lightly damp micro fibre cloth, followed by a dry one is the safest route I’d have thought.

The Virtuoso Cleaner and Polish is good for nitro basses. Fairly pricey, but good stuff. Had mine for years.

Dr Ducks Axe Wax is also meant to be good. I've got some but not got around to using it yet.

Thanks yeah no worries I think it’s probably best to leave it alone!
