Proof that they do it deliberately

Recommended Posts

I sold an acoustic guitar on reverb a couple of days ago so I parcelled it up the next day. It is in a snug fitting case but I didn't have a suitable cardboard box so I cut down an epiphone thunderbird box to parcel it up with lots of padding and parcel tape. The box has a thick end where the body goes and a thin end where the headstock is. I also wrote 'TOP' with an arrow pointing up on the thin end on both sides.

On the tracking app it shows as delivered with photographic proof, but as you can see from the printing on the box it has been left in the recipient's porch thin-end down.

I think it should be okay though - as long as no scrotes walk past and nick it.

I feel your pain. I once had a bass collected and watched the courier launch it into the back of his van. It was fine at the other end but I felt sick at the time! I have “Fragile” tape wrapped around all my parcels but that just seems to be a target for couriers to handle it even more carelessly.

a few years back i bought a Tony Franklin fretless from ebay, to be delivered to the shop i work at. Bass is duly delivered.....in its origional hardcase, not even  locked, just a packing slip stuck to the front. By some miracle the bass was still inside the case undamaged!
