I bought my 220 head and 404 cab new in 1980 for £420 (about 2 months wages, for a poor apprentice electrician, I guess) and it has never, ever let me down, apart from blowing a fuse once after being stored in my parents garage for a couple of years! I bought a nice 2x15 cab and non working 120 head on ebay last year for £52! I'm hoping to get the head repaired soon. IMO, you really can't beat this Acoustic stuff and I'd be really interested in hearing if anyone has tried the new stuff they're producing. 4-string-thing Posted April 11, 2009 Share Posted April 11, 2009 there was someone selling one of these combo's a while back, started out asking £350, after a few weeks was offering it to me for £100, he was moving house and didn't fancy taking it with him!
