Hahahaha - I did giggle when i saw that.
My bids expired on the decent side of 1k, but I hope whomever won enjoys it. It does look a lovely bass.
Great idea for a thread. It'd be great if with the list of basses on offer at the top you could put a link for each ;)
Would people like a 'lefties gallery' too? Basses that we own but aren't for sale? We're such a specialist group that its good to see what basses are out there.

I'm up for that, I think Metaltime postulated a similar thing a page or two ago - If someone wanted to start a thread in 'Gear Porn' I'd definately contribute ;)

Anyone interested in a '96 MM Stingray 5 fretless ?

Very quick pic, please ignore glare, dust and smudges !!!!

I traded this with Metaltime early last year, and to be brutally honest I really want a fretted 5 and prefer fretless 4's.

It's a great bass, there are no issues, mint condition - it's just...just....it's not getting used !

£750 anyone ??!!!

deal pending on the Stirling. I swear its so much easier selling it in Europe- I mean, I spent £700 plus postage on this and when I bought it that would be around 1000e so now I can sell it for 800e and still make a profit due to the £/euro change.

Awesome.

Try it guys, put your stuff up on leftybass.com, its superb for selling to the mainland!

I have nothing for sale or trade, I have, however, just bought this little beauty!

didn't that just sell on the warwick forums? I could swear its the same bass...
Good luck with the sale though, think the original owner is on the forum so I'm sure he can attest to its awesomeness!
I'll update the list soon.

Also nice thunderbird man, looks gorgeous!

I think you're right, there can't be many of these around: Would be interested to hear more history as it's changed hands 3 or 4 times in the last few months.

For the money, it's still a bargain!
I believe it has had a couple of owners. I'm guessing they've done the same as I. Thought a six string would be fun, then got it and realised it's not for them. It really is a gorgeous bass, the nicest I've ever played/owned.
Agreed, it does look a mighty bass, best of luck with the sale ;)

Was it a custom order?
Yeah. Bought it from the great Mr Shuker about 18 months ago. My only observation (apart from the fact that it looks and plays brilliantly) is that I had a locking jack socket fitted which has now "died". I spoke to Jon yesterday and am taking it to him next week to have a "normal" input socket fitted. Would strongly recommend no-one uses locking sockets.
