Out of the original 4 I only have 1 left. I normally have enough trouble buying strings so I thought I'd check with the experts before I spend some of the christmas fund. Where is the best place to buy from and are they all a standard size? I'm not necessarily looking for anything fancy like skulls just a plain old pot. Also look for WDmusicproducts who are similar and I think have a few more. Why not pop into the 'introduce yourself' forum and tell us a bit about you and your gear etc? As I'm not sure of which players it is cool or uncool to like on this board let me please specify that this was a joke and I only said it because i am jealous of his mad skills (or am I?) I'm not sure of the official name for them but are all the stalks that the pot fits on of a standard size or do I need ones specifically made for spector? If it's like my Spector the pots are split shaft, so it could be these. bass_ferret Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Shafts are usually solid and round, or split down the middle and splined. The idea of the split and splined is they accept push on knobs that dont need grub screws, and the split allows a bit of leeway with the fit. But like they said if you use grub screws to the side of the split then you will push the two halfs of the shaft together and possibly the screw will go too far and fall out.
