OLP Pick up upgrade

I am so happy with the way my OLP MM2 plays (I lurve maple boards) I have decided to upgrade the pickups.

I am looking at either one of the 2 EMG pick ups which are obviously active or
Seymour Duncan Basslines which I presume are passive without an added pre amp

I am trying to keep the cost under £100 so the EMG's are looking favourites as I really fancy en active pick up and have liked EMG's in the past

Anyone got any other ideas within that budget that would be equally as good?

I considered a Bartolini passive but I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK that stocks them

I got a bart 5 string MM pup off ebay (second hand) for about £40 inc p&p. They'll pop up every once in a while.

You could probably get a bart MM pup from the US shipped over here for around £100. US site

Good luck.

They do but they don't do a MM replacement. Anyway I manage to pick one up second hand from a fellow BC for £40 :)

Got a status in my SUB bass neck position, i don't like i personally, lacks definiton to me.

I'd reccommend the basslines one HIGHLY. It sounds awesome, got a really nice growl much like a real musicman pickup and it's got an insane output just in passive.

EDIT: does anybody know if the kent armstrong MM pickup is any good? i keep seeing them on ebay for £50 and wondering... i'm thinking about swapping the status one for one of them.
