Well, I've been reluctant to do this..... but I'm going to let them go...Two of them.... They are fantastic cabs, but after gigging them over the summer, I think my 'sound' lies elsewhere.... They're just not the ones for me....
Almost brand new, pristine condition, complete with covers....

*NEW PRICE! >>>>>£650 the pair<<<<<

Would prefer hassle free selling!...
(pick up, or meet halfway kinda thing, if not too far....I'm based in Bristol)

Actual pics to follow.... just want to test the water for now.....

....any interest?
Here's those pics....

.... yeah my back is really loving them!

but my ears are still wanting to hear something that I'm not getting.....
not really sure what it is... (a little less hi-fi, perhaps?)
but I was almost there when I borrowed some Aguilar cabs the other night!....
... & my drummer doesn't want the rear porting! :)
Have you compared the AE with the HT at all?

I haven't heard them back to back but seem to remember the HT was more of a smoother all round sound to the AE?
...no, haven't tried the HT at all....
Kinda hoping I can stay lightweight .... but wondering if any neo stuff has what I'm after?... the Aguilar cabs I borrowed were pretty close & so were the SWR... but not very lightweight ... hopefully trying zoot, EBS & GK soon.....

I'd recommend EBS Neo's very highly Dave, if anything they sound pretty much the same as the Proline stuff, so if you ever wanted to you could pop down and try mine out :).
Was it the Aggie GS or DB cabs that you tried?
it was the GS, a 2x10 + 2x12....too heavy & bulky for my needs really though!.....but a nice sound & I could be loud enough for me too hear it well, without my drummer complaining! (there's gotta be something in this rear or front facing ports thing....)
....is it true the DB's have rear ports?

I am hoping that the smaller GS speakers... like the 1x12's, impress me the same way..... it's got to be quite portable for me... up to say similar in bulkiness of 2 x SWR goliath Jr 2x10's weighing in at 55lbs each( ..which I'd like to try if I can find somewhere with 2 in stock!) .... but preferably lighter.... I've got 14 stairs up to my front door!...& it's a narrow passageway.... (ooh er misses!) :)

The DB112's certainly have rear ports. I take it you've considered and dismissed the Tech Soundsystems 1x12's on this forum... certainly can't get any more portable than those!

...no, not dismissed.... never tried!... & Scotland's a long way to go!... if I could try some closer to home I'd be up for it....
I'm finding the mighty tinternet is great for research & cheap deals ..as long as you know what you want... I only seem to know what I don't want at the moment! :) & I can't afford to buy blind..

Them bergs are very good.. & I spent the afternoon with Mark at Bass Direct trying all of the AE's against what I had before... & the 112's suited me best...(wish I'd tried the non-neo ones too, but I was on a 'lightweight' pilgrimage at the time & was blinkered!)
I'm not great with the 'science' of it all but I've become convinced that the rear ports are causing me the trouble, even if it is non-directional!... somehow, with front porting, I can be louder & therefore hear myself better & a certain drummer I work with lots, isn't complaining that my bottom end is killing his kick drum!....  !?!...

I don't think you'll get better than the AE112 cabs and if they are "killing" the kick then I would have thought that all other cabs will do exactly the same.
What amp are you using? Maybe a less bottom heavy amp would "improve" the sound. There must be a way of placating your drummer; could you EQ the bass around his kick drum, move the cabs away from him or slightly behind him so he can't hear the ports or put something between the cabs/ports and him to deflect the sound?
I use a Thunderfunk and regularly play with about 6 drummers and they all think the Bergantino cabs are the best yet. I've not had a single bad comment.

I use a single AE112 with a Little Mark 2 and it's more than adequate for all the venues we've played so far. So although another would make for a phenomenal rig I dont really need it. As I'm trying to save for a new bass I could only make you an insulting offer so I wont insult you!

Whoever gets these will not be disappointed.

I'm using a Genz Benz neo-pak (really liking it!....) & have experimented greatly, including running the EQ flat .....the bergs do seem to be able to push out a lot of bottom! ..& small variations make a big difference... my stingray 5 is flat on the EQ too....
I have also experimented with position to appease the mighty Lord of 'hitting things' !!....(he can be a little 'precious' about his sacred kick drum sound! :) ) sometimes it works fine.. more often, I am still left wanting to hear something that I'm not getting.....

I had no problem when I used the Aggie cabs, though ..we were both happy....

(I've played with this guy consistently, in different projects, for over 10 years!.... & it's never been so much of a problem as it is now.....)
Sounds like you should be getting Aguilar cabs. They do sound good. Can you get to hear some Genz cabs? Their owners seem to love them! Anyway, good luck with your search.
Yeah.... the Aguilar 112's would be portable enough.... hopefully will try soon, not tried the Genz ones as yet...
& I've got an interest in the Dr Bass & Zoot stuff....
especially the Dr Bass 1260 + 112LF cabs.... they LOOK like they'd be lush!!.. & very adjustable, blend the 12", 6" & tweeter to taste in the 1260..... proof of the pudding is in the eating, as always...

I assume you use your AE112 with the AE2x10...(bet that sounds very punchy!) ...I'd considered that combination but because I'm so 'shallow' (!?! :) ...looks not personality!! ) I didn't like the ascetic value of how they stack (...or don't as is more the case... very well anyway!)

You're right, they don't stack very well at all, but I need both. I use the 112 for a quiet acoustic gig and add the 210 for medium band gigs. Together they sound great, loads of bass from both and a lot of punch from the 210. The definition and clarity of the sound made them difficult to get on with at the start but I'm loving them now.
....I'm interested to know why they took a while to get used to?....
I've been used to large sounding cabs with a big full bass sound. My Mesa Boogies, the Epifani 410 and even my old Dynacord all had a lot of full, fat bass. Also you could fluff a note or two and get away with it. But the Bergantinos are very different.
To begin with the Bergantino cabs sounded like there wasn't enough bass. Then I began to realise that they had a different type of bass sound, full bass but very tight, defined and punchy, less boom with no mud or woolliness. These cabs have so much definition and clarity and you can hear every note so clearly. It's scary to have all your mistakes so exposed. I still like the Epifani but I prefer the Bergantinos now.
