I've emphasised this even more with a set of brand new Rotosound black nylon strings (put on since the photos were taken). It's in great condition with no noticeable fretboard wear, one tiny pinhead finish ding was all I could find (by the edge bending below the bridge but too small to photograph). Rock maple neck Rosewood fingerboard 34 " scale Mahogany body Solid spruce top Full length thumbrest Grover tuners LR Baggs ribbon transducer and custom preamp - a series of 18 tuned brass rods suspended internally from the bridge which produce sympathetic vibrations to enhance the amplified sound. Volume, mid, treble and bass controls 3 band active EQ Hiscox hard case Edited April 21, 2016 by 6feet7
warwickhunt Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I've got the unlined fretless version of this and the amount of 'mwwwwaah' available from these is ridiculous, mainly down to the resonator body construction. Glad you mentioned the weight because these are a god send if a heavy bass is the bane of your life. GLWTS
6feet7 Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) This has been my second and they are wonderful in sound and weight, but GAS has returned in the shape of the 5 string version, so it has to go. Edited February 26, 2016 by 6feet7
Stance Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 God, I just love theses basses! Have another bump on me!
6feet7 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016
God, I just love theses basses! Have another bump on me!
Thanks for that. Do you love it enough to buy it though?
Stance Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Yes, I do! But I just don´t know if I need another Godin fretlless... (or another bass....)
6feet7 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Go on. Of course you do. Give me a sensible offer and it'll be flying down to you by tomorrow lunchtime
Stance Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Tempting as it is, I need to refrain myself. More important (but way less funny) bills on its way.... Thanks anyway! Nut I´ll still keep this post under my radar!
AustinArto Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 I also had an unlined ebony-boarded one of these back in 1992-4 and it sounded absolutely amazing.
6feet7 Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) This has been my second and love it, but have moved over to 5 strings so it has to go. Edited March 8, 2016 by 6feet7
Marc S Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Looks lovely Sadly, I need to sell a bass before I can buy another (as ever seems to be the case lol) GLWTS
6feet7 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) I'm afraid that's my issue too. As you say, this always seems to be the case Thanks anyway Edited March 8, 2016 by 6feet7
6feet7 Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 East Sussex - but I will be traveling up to York in a couple of weeks, so could pass by Nottingham and drop it off if you don't trust parcelforce
vindi Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I don't suppose I could tempt you with a trade for my Marshall VBA?
6feet7 Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 I'm afraid not. Sorry Try me with a cash offer. I might even say yes
Marc S Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Someone please buy my US P bass I'd love this...... Difficult time to sell, even if it's a superb instrument....
vindi Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 A someone buy my Marshal amp quick so I can check this bass out bump. Also if you still have this & are heading North in a fortnight John I would love to try this out.
Marc S Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Pah, I really wanted this bass, as it's different from everything else I have - which is mostly Fender shaped Shame about this, and sorry for 6feet7 that this fab looking bass didn't sell - it was silly money for such a nice instrument Ah well, maybe the marketplace will pick up? Hope so.....
vindi Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Really shame I couldn't get the money together in time for this
