Alfie Noakes Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) Now reduced to £600 Sandberg California PM 4 string bass. Bought brand new from PMT this Christmas for about £1250. Excellent condition, lovely player and looks rather nice too. I'm in Birmingham, and you're welcome to try it out before buying. Would prefer local pickup or half way meet (within reason!). May well trade for a US Musicman Sterling 4 - try me via a PM. Sold to a man with a van - thanks Martin, and thanks for all the kind words, guys. I now have a job, so can start saving up for.....more bass guitars!! :-) Edited April 25, 2015 by Alfie Noakes
stingraybassman Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 You have some fine Sandbergs sir. Have a bump, shame I shifted a sterling a few months back.
Alfie Noakes Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Thank you, sir....and I just took a peak at your former Sterling, and drooled. TARDIS, anyone?
lowlandtrees Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Would love this but live too far away. Think all BCers should move en masse to a colony in mid south Scotland and breed. I am sure that this will be gone but if you decide to post I would be interested.
chenzo_1 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I've always been intrigued by the whole p bass & humbucker setup, was does it sound like?
stingraybassman Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015
I've always been intrigued by the whole p bass & humbucker setup, was does it sound like?
I played one of these a few years back and I'd go as far to say it does a pretty good impression of everything; all the while still having that Sandberg character. The Jazz sound you could get was awesome. For £700 there wont be a better bass on this forum IMO.
Alfie Noakes Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Thanks Stingraybassman for the words. I guess you meant 'P sound' though, rather than Jazz sound! It's flexible alright, but not THAT flexible :-)
Alfie Noakes Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) Let's talk. PM'd. Edited April 17, 2015 by Alfie Noakes
maldy Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Thank you for promptly replying to my PMs and sending additional photos. I was severely tempted by this. Great looking bass and great price. GLWTS.
richardd Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Jesus Alfie,600 ,must be The Bargain of the year..Keep looking at this wish my Jazz would go,
Alfie Noakes Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Redundancy is a great leveller / total b1tch (delete as applicable). Good luck with your sale too.
grahamd Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Ridiculous value. Sorry about the redundancy dude
Alfie Noakes Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Would prefer not to, as it's immaculate.
chrisanthony1211 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 This is a great price for a great bass, I ordered a custom Sandberg back in January which won't be completed until July, if I hadn't, this would be mine... Have a bump
chrisanthony1211 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) £600 for this beautifully engineered piece of German mastery........... Even though I'm waiting for my Sandberg to be built, this is very very tempting........ Lovely bass. Edited April 25, 2015 by chrisanthony1211
