Whats the general concensus on the Aria STB-PB, the p-bass copy that Aria does? I've been thinking about havin a root for a decent p-bass copy and tarting it up and I've seen a nice lefty version of the aforementioned bass nearby for about £100. Too much, a bargain? Hilfe!

Thanks in advance guys n gals!

I have a very low opinion of Aria, they always feel like a piece of wood that makes noise rather than an instrument, but tbh i havn't tried one since the late 90's
get an SX..... you`ll love it
I ordered an SX precision online on Sat 28/06/08. It arrived with me on Thur 03/07/08. I somehow managed to avoid being stung by customs (that I'm aware of), and the total cost to my door? $192.64!
I'm very happy with it as well. For a fender-esque bass around the £100 mark, SX basses are worth checking out.

I've actually got a few contemporary Arias (as opposed to the "proper" 70s & 80s JapCrap ones) and if mine are anything to go by - they're unfairly overlooked. This is an Aria STB-GT:

It might just be a piece of wood that makes noise - but it's a pretty damn :brow: one - in my opinion!

I've also got an acoustic bass & a PE-series g*it*r, all of them are well-made, very nice to play, and sound good too.

That said - you can't argue with SXes for quality per quid, from what I've read about 'em.

Jon.

Well thats a tad schmexual... I am starting to think that SX is probably my best bet in that case. Tis a shame they dont have a massive selection in lefty- anyone got opinions of their pj variants? e.g. : http://www.rondomusic.com/spj3tsleft.html http://www.rondomusic.com/spjashlefty.html
