Here’s my white Peavey Foundation bass guitar up for sale. I’m looking for £175 –I think that’s a great price for an American made quality guitar. It’s a really good example & I’ve owned it for a few years now. This is the second Peavey that I’m selling – I sold a black bass with maple neck recently.

It’s a really excellent instrument – made in the USA with a superb maple neck and fretboard, the scale length is 34”. The neck is fitted to the body like Fender guitars, with a four bolt mounting plate and it has a microtilt adjustment. The machine heads are all good, and the neck is nice & straight.

The electrics are as on a Fender Jazz bass with two passive pickups each with a volume control and an overall passive tone control. I had the capacitor changed in the tone circuit & as a result it has one of the best ranges of tone to it that I’ve come across in a passive bass. Oddly, it still has the peelable plastic on the back cover over the control cavity.

The bass dates to 1987 from the serial number (02896928), and it’s a really nice player, it weighs at 4 kilos, and the neck has a really lovely feel to it - like a slim Jazz bass. There are scuffs & wear on the body, but no bad dings, and with it being white, I’ve tried to show where the paintwork has a few marks at the end of the body.

These American made basses are, I firmly believe, future classics.

May swap for a good Epiphone DOT semi acoustic guitar.

I'm in Morecambe and I go to Rochdale in the middle of each week .The bass is living there at the minute & I could bring it back to Morecambe if anyone wants to try it.

Just give me a shout & you're most welcome to see and try it at either location.

Hi Gary,

That's a great looking bass, man.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm either going to sell the bass, or, if I were to swap, it would be for a semi acoustic "jazz" style guitar.

Thanks again for the offer.
