I just love this thread. Every time I come in here, someone else has bought a bass 'accidentally' and that makes me smile.

Enjoy your new cheapie bass mate, I bought one of the deko acoustics and I love it.

My program was left running on my desk at work since yesterday at about this time. In that time, the black four string fretted acoustic bass sold out. Also, a left handed Hofner style 'beatbass' appeared and sold. Anyone get that one?

The number of long-term available dekos is going down. There only really is the four string natural fretted acoustic, five string fretted natural acoustic, and a left-handed four string fretted natural acoustic now.

The banjo is still there if anyone wants it :)

EDIT: Even less now. The four string fretted acoustic has sold out.

Pearloid tele

EDIT: Gone within seconds. I thought that things had been hanging around for at least minutes recently.

EDIT: Five string acoustic bass now gone. There are now no right handed deko basses available.

All of you people who bought the acoustic basses, what are you doing for a gigbag? I didn't order one at the same time as my bass, but I could do with picking one up. Thomann have several different bags at a similar price, so I'm just wondering if a particular one fits well and is decent quality. There are some available from UK retailers but they're either more expensive or not long enough.

Grrrrr, so frustrating. New deco jazz just sitting doing nothing in Cologne since 3.00am friday morning. Those who have purchased from Thomann, how long does it usually take? I am sure I am just being impatient but I am itching to see whether my particular deco is a good one or not!

Mine took a while to arrive, probably a week door-to-door. The tracking was good though, and actually gave useful updates.

Personally I've never had basses waiting in Germany.2 days after the order confirmation email they're at my door
in Scotland.57 hours from email sent to me receiving it is normal.

Thomann are closed for business on Sundays so I doubt any updates would be entered over the weekend.

Only time I remember a lengthy wait was when I pre-ordered a BZ 4000. Got my first tracking notice on 20/08/14
and received it on 26/08/14.

Thing is Thomann didn't expect them to be in stock until the 26th so the tracking notice was sent when the container
with my bass arrived in Germany from China.

So even with the 6 days wait it still arrived sooner than expected :D

Can't speak for those of you in England but Mon-Wed or Tues - Thurs is pretty quick for international delivery to Scotland.

I have one of these and am very pleased with it.

EDIT: I didn't notice it get listed, and on checking my records it was listed at 1:16am this morning. Good to see it is still available hours later.

EDIT: Half an hour later, gone. Anyone get one?

Well, happy new deko bass day to me! Jazz arrived this evening and the only thing I can find wrong with it (apart from the D's stamped into the back of the neck and the body!) is a slight discolouration of the wood under the lacquer, about the size of a 2 pence piece, just above the bridge pup. Straight neck, not a fret out of place and no other dings or marks. Couldn't be happier!
Just need to adjust the truss rod as there is little relief in the neck at the mo so too much buzzing going on and all will be sorted. Will post a picture or two when I get round to it.
Want an acoustic deko now!!

semi-hollow 60s style bass.

Edit: gone. Was available for half an hour. I was tempted, but I'm thinking about whether I want to save my music allocation for a Yourock Gen2 MIDI controller. And I'm still waiting for a deko ukulele. (I may wait forever and buy a non-deko :) )
