Now, if it were the current range with the Wilkinson pickups I'd be all over it. But the one on questions is an older version from late 90s so non Wilkinson pickups or hardware. The guitar itself was OK for the price and sounded quite good, but the humbucker was kind of dull and unexciting. Only, I've got a VS6 (their SG copy) which must be about 10 years old now. Wilkinson pickups are definitely worth a punt. I bought a £50 plywood telecaster last year and put some Wilkinson pickups in and the difference was definitely noticeable. [/quote] I tried one a couple of years ago and was really surprised at how awful it sounded - was buying for my at the time 10year old. I wouldn't have had it if it was free quite frankly.
