Hello

Having a clear out :

USA Fender Jazz 2001 Serial Number Z103 8233 - £550 + postage
No trades thanks

Great sounding USA Jazz with maple finger board. The body is a lively translucent orange with a white pick guard.

The bass is in good condition overall with a few marks on the headstock, and the body is in great shape but has a little crack in the lacquer by the top strap button.

The Bass weights [s]9 and a half [/s] [sorry] a heftier 11pounds. (not the best scales)

At some point the pots have all been changed and some of the dot inlays on the neck[s]have been changed to a slightly unusual design[/s] look funny - see comments below.

Here's the pics

Marks on the headstock

Here are the unusual fret dots - [s]only these three are different, the rest are black as standard[/s] the lacquer has separated from part of the dot - see comments below.

Here is the crack in the lacquer. This doesn't go through to the wood.

Here's the slide show

Re: the dot inlays. I had a p-bass from '04 (http://basschat.co.uk/topic/201043-fs-fender-usa-precision-2004-sold-gone-au-revoir/page__fromsearch__1) that had the same thing happen to the black inlays: I just assumed it was the lacquer lifting away from the plastic.

You can see it in this picture best:

The dots were like it when it came to me and I haven't heard of it before, so I thought they had been replaced. There is nothing to be felt when touching them... Thanks for your input dougal. :)
