Hmm just had this message back from him.
Hi,

I'm based at Livingston studios in wood green N22 6TR.

I'm sorry I have no time to take any more shots as I am working.
If you are not 100%, I would recommend not bidding.
The bass is not in perfect shape and I expected it to sell cheap.
The neck is not straight but the pickups sound incredible.

My bests,

Now he mentions the neck is not straight. Might have put me off a bit.

What does he mean by not straight though? Relief or twist?

He claims to not know anything about guitars, he couldnt tell me. Either way would be fairly bad anyway right?

EDIT: Just had a message, he says its bowed and the action is fairly high after the 12th fret. fixable?

I would say that that is a pretty decent old bass and has probably never had any adjustment judging by the state of the original truss cover etc.
Probabl all it needs is tightening up mate.

Someone's had a look at least once - TRC is upside down ;)

Successful?

Didnt go for it in the end. I didnt want to run the risk of truss rod problems and a potentially useless bass is not worth £320 for me! Would rather save up the extra 200-300 and get one in decent working order.
