Bought off this very site my 2 new EBS Neo 112's (thanks mr choc-tele) posing with my GB (wouldn't Bernie be proud!) Looking forward to first outing next week. Funny I'd been looking for a lightweight pair of cabs, logged in at work, as you do, well don't you?, and saw these, deal was done within 10minutes of the listing!

Yeah, it's from the same piece of wood as mine - which is the one which is in bass guitar magazine.

It's funny that you should mention that your ear doesn't like those cabs. I used to run EBS Neo cabs - and I must admit, I far prefer the sound of the prolines. The prolines have a certain warmer tone about them than the Neos. To me, the Neos sound very, very clinical. Not saying that one is better than the other... but they are very different. It may be the case however, that Markbass heads and EBS cabs are just not a good match in this case.

I dont think there are smaller lighter 112 cabs than the Neolines. I used to throw mine up in the air and catch them to show how light they were. If you want light its pretty much got to be Neo's. The new Bergy AE112 are supposed to sound more traditional. Other than that you are looking at the non neo Bergy, Aguillar GS and DB, and thats about it for a 112! I think Robbies Dr Bass cabs are all Neo.
