SammyDamacy
Hello all! I've just started teaching music at a college, and I need to take a bass with me. This isn't the bass to take with me. Hell no, I fear for her beauty. So.........I probably need to move her on. I'm looking for either a straight sale, a trade (for a lower value bass + cash) or 2 basses. Whatever you fancy doing, I'm looking around the region of £1200ono, the bass is virtually new and is completely unmarked, she's lived a sheltered life. These guys are apparently getting quite hard to get in the UK, found her twin online for £2129, and all the specs can be found there. http://www.gear4musi...Poplar-Burl/JJ0 Trade wise I'm after an active 6 string or a 4 string jazz (like), plus cash for moi or if you happen to have both of those that's fantastic! Open to suggestions, based in Brighton if anyone wants to come play, currently tuned E-C. (More photos will come!) And they're here! And i mean it when I say she's perfect........ Edited October 16, 2012 by SammyDamacy

andybassdoyle
Really interesting. I've got a 6 string version of this bass which is simply epic. I'm also after a 5 to tune E-C, never thought of this as an option though due to the slightly limited upper access, I was also a bit concerned that there might not be enough string 'mass' to really work the neck with that tuning. How do you find it E-C?
SammyDamacy
To be honest Andy before this bass I'd never considered the high C, I'm always a low B guy. However I've found this a joy to play with this set up, and its the main reason im moving on to a six rather than another five. The only problem is I have nothing to compare it to as it has been my only high C experience, so all i can tell you is in my opinion it's ruddy lovely. SammyDamacy
I've had some beautiful offers so far, however I really need to stress I'm only interested in downgrading, the only reason I'm moving her on is because I don't feel comfortable using a bass of this value as an everyday bass! So thanks for the offers so far, but I'm not interested in similar valued basses, I cannae warrant it. [i]No matter how freaking amazing some of them are........ tonyf
Epic bass. Lusting after a Euro 5 and this would be on my list and the Lakland would go but the timing just ain't right. Bah. Bumpy for such a wonderful instrument. T
