icastle Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 Shouldn't make any difference to the overall volume or quality - you're just sending the signal to the same place but via a slightly different route. The only real difference could be that the firewire interface is slightly faster than the USB socket, so a miniscule (and pretty un-noticeable) time lag if you're not using USB 2.0. [/size][/color] [/quote] My hearing is pretty bad in my left ear & the top end has gone in my right. Too much loud music & grew up in very noisy environments. No effects on the Alesis, just set flat.
