i got this today and i am very impressed with the sound and action , it has thomastiks flats on it(never used flats before and i read they are high tension but these are not ). i dont know much about it (year , value , ) expect its made in japan by aria . everything works good but its needs a fret dress ....anyone else got one or have any info on them

Jon would probably have had your arm off for this, as I know he's a fan of 'snot-glo'!

It's a Matsumuku made bass (the manufacturer that made for Aria, amongst others). If the serial starts 00 it'll be pre '75, as that's when Mat started using sequential serials - before that they were random, so not much good for dating the bass.

For any more than that, you'll probably have to wait for Jon to come out of retirement. :)

Hi chaps - I've been off radar for ages but just logged in as I'm selling my Vorg. I've had it and played it for a few years and it's been amazing but new bass and new baby forces sale! Anyone interested? I want to get back what I paid but not looking for a huge profit - there must be a few Jap-£$ap geeks out there who would love it like I do!
