Do I need to do anything to treat a wenge neck?

I got one from the wenge front on my old Wal (where there was a worn dip in the face) and again when I did a Shuker build - every time I picked up a piece of the stuff. Its very long stiff grain works like a spear. But its fine as long as you don't get the rough end....

+1 to all of the above. No need to wax if it is played regular but a wipe with wax or lemon oil won't do any harm (be sure to buff the wax off properly or it can become sticky when you get it warm during playing). Splinters... owned dozens of Warwicks over the last 20+ years and have never had one splinter, ever!
