Warwick cases

Has anyone got one these? I'd have to order online so wouldn't have chance to have a look at one, so any views appreciated.

I had a bunch of Warwick cases about 5yrs ago and they were always really good, well made and reliable. They were cheaper than that too so assume that is a deluxe case

I have 2 of the same kind, neither of which are the kind in the link, though they are bulletproof, I worry that things will start orbiting them, they are that heavy.

I have no experience of the ones in the link but from the description they're standard ABS/Foam cases. You could save yourself a bit of money by getting the Thomann one:

I've owned both and they were both excellent quality for the money, particularly the Thomann. Our van drove over it once - fully loaded lwb hi-top LDV with four people in - and although the case was cracked at one end the interior (and more importantly the bass inside!) was untouched. In fact it still worked and i used it for ages before passing it on to a BCer!

You could get two of those for less than the price of the Warwixk one and still you'd have to buy something else to qualify for the free shipping!

I have a gator case for one of my other basses and it's a good case, for the money. I was just after something a bit more fitted, thats what i liked about the one in the link, that Corvette looks pretty snug in there with no room for slopping about! The fact that Corvette fits so well in it would be worth the extra money to me, saying that my gator case was about £65 so i don't think £99 is ridiculously expensive for a case, especially when you consider the value of the things we put in them! Just wondered if anyone had one to see what the quality of hinges/catches/handle etc was like. Thomann case looks good for the price though.

Been looking at the same ones myself - My Corvette slides all over the place in the current gator case.

My Corvette sits snug as a bug in it's proper case, which it sits in at home, but it gets put in a gator hardfoam case for travel to gigs, the Warwick one is just too heavy when I go everywhere via public transport or on foot.

The Warwick hardfoam ones are also worth a look, i had my Corvette in one of those and it was a really good fit, very light and sturdy too.

I find for Corvettes that a standard P / J Hiscox does the trick really well, I get no movement at all with mine, and it'll fit virtually anything. Each of my basses will fit in there, so I'll probably stick with Hiscox. Although I also use my Warwick leather gig bag which is worth its weight in gold!
