thedarxide Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 I've had one of those on my watchlist for a while, I intended buying one today (pay day!), but I'm watching a few other auctions first. It's quite a nice big tone but the fretwork was awful on mine - I had to file every fret down coz I kept shredding my hand to pieces! For the money, tho, go for it! neepheid Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Awful, I had one of a similar nature (my money's on them all being made in the same factory with different importers logos grafted on). Shoddy fretwork and general finishing, iffy intonation that you can't sort and one of the strings was not picked up by the piezo element as well as the other three. You'd be much better saving up and getting something half decent. That way there's more chance of you actually wanting to play it and if it doesn't work out, you'll get most of your money back selling it on here. It's currently had the neck sanded smooth and I've done my own fret leveling job on it (so it now plays alright), but the back and sides are now dark green. I would say though, that I'm not suprised the Les Paul's have been rubbish, cheap electrics usually are. I've not yet seen a truly bad acoustic.
