1. ooh, yes! Sorry, I forgot to mention that. It's by no means a professional job, but I've had no problem playing it.
 2. I've had this for years, can't be bothered to work on it!! It's been sanded back to the wood and resprayed but not terribly well. The pickup wires are a little short and will need extending. I'm 90% sure I have the scratchplate and 50% sure I have the wiring loom, but assume they're no included. Pictures are available here: http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a120/thedarxide/basses/ £40? I'm open to reasonable offers, otherwise I'll put it on eBay. I'm in the vicinity of Milton Keynes, happy to meet within a reasonable distance, but will also courier at buyers choice of speed.
 3. As title, I think the triple coil is what's referred to as an ATK, but I'm a little out of touch. One of the slightly rarer models of ergodyne, it's a luthite body with a three way selectable active pickup. Great condition but there is a small surface crack on the back of the neck, pictures are here: http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a120/thedarxide/basses/ £150? 4. Tanglewood curbow for sale, excellent condition. Standard features, has an ebony/ebonol(?) fingerboard, and a slap switch. 5. I've got one of these, they're nice basses. A real shame that they don't have individual saddles rather than the single bridge, but it's not caused me any trouble to warrant modding.

 8. I've had 5. Three Les Pauls, one awesome, two pretty naff. Then an SG bass which is great, and a fretless jazz which is nice enough, but the pups are quite weak. The jazz is branded "Columbus 2".

 11.
Realistically, the covers are the first things to vanish on any Rick copy - or real one, for that matter! The basses themselves are so uncommon that I don't think it makes sense for that to be a genuine consideration when buying, tbh.
It's more that if I have to shell out a boatload to actually get a bass in the first place, i don't want to have to fork out again for a cover.
 12.
It's probably just me, but I think R/H assymetric headstocks mounted on L/H basses look completely pants. Would it really add that much to production costs to mirror the neck as well as the body?
I like it them the wrong way round - it's Paul Mcartney's fault.
 13. I've wanted one for a while, but I think they're grossly overpriced for what they are. £100 absolute max.
 14.
That's the thing. I REALLY want a Rickenfaker but I don't want to go overboard. Really I wanna be looking at £350 at a stretch. Thing is I know the bidding will likely get crazy in the last day or two of the auction. What's intensly annoying is I won't be at home to bid in the last day because I'm gigging in Hungary. Just typical of my luck really, nothing for a while then as soon as one pops up I'm not here to bid
Because I'm a purest, I'd be slightly averse to this one due to the lack of a bridge cover - i wouldn't want to have to shell out more to make it look right. Would be okay if the price stayed low. But that said, the case will push the price slightly, but then collection might put people off.... I was determined to win mine. I'd have been prepared to go over £400 which is really silly.....
 15.
How much are those Hondos worth realistically? I don't want to go overboard haha
worth is determined by how desperately you want something I paid £350 for mine. It's not "worth" that much, when compared with other instruments of the price bracket, but as a bass that is as close as I'll get to an instrument I've wanted for over 10 years, it's worth every penny. Sounds right, feels right. Even has intact mutes....
 16.
Now here's a weird one ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Blue-Boy-Rickenbacke...id=p3286.c0.m14 This appears to be a genuine Ricky maskerading as a fake. Quite apart from the icky Blue Boy description, apparently this is the Rickenbacker 500/1.
It's always a reluctant sale. No one ever says "happy to be shifting this crappy instrument that was barfed from the sphincter of satan himself"
 17. Depends on "cheap". I have a Nevada jazz that I swear by. Out of 20 basses, it's my favourite. I also have a "Texas" bass, one of those £50 jobbies on ebay, and I hit lucky with that one. My 3rd one is a fretless columbus, but that's not great. I keep eyeing up the SX ones....
 18. Mine's the same as the one above, almost. From H&S in Germany. Do not recommend buying from them!!
 19.
You may have some competition
It's all yours, I just spent my pocket money for the month on a new leather jacket....
